Endon Cheswick Chrome Glass IP44 Ceiling Light 20cm 96138

Name: Endon Cheswick Chrome Glass IP44 Ceiling Light 20cm 96138
Brand: Endon

Endon Cheswick 96138 is a ceiling light with a clear glass globe and chrome-plated metalwork. Its exposed bulb forms part of the design, while knurled edges on the metal details contrast with the smooth glass. This is a fitting for a replaceable light bulb, rather than a light with a permanently integrated LED module.A globe fitted directly below the ceilingThe shade measures 20 cm across and the complete fitting projects 24.5 cm from the ceiling. Check both measurements against the available space: its small diameter does not mean that it sits flat against the ceiling. There is no pendant cable or chain for adjusting the drop; the globe sits immediately beneath the circular ceiling plate.Reflective chrome picks up the surroundings, and clear glass leaves the bulb visible even when switched off. The rounded shade and stepped metal rings suit classic and modern-classic interiors. When choosing a bulb, consider its visible shape as well as its lighting specifications, since it will not be hidden behind an opaque shade.Choose one E27 bulb separatelyCheswick takes one E27 LED bulb rated at up to 10 W. The bulb is not included. Brightness and colour temperature therefore depend on the light source you buy, rather than being fixed properties of the fitting. The manufacturer lists the light as dimmable; this requires a dimmable bulb and compatible control equipment. When the bulb eventually needs replacing, the whole ceiling fitting does not need to be replaced with it.Bathroom use and installationThe manufacturer specifies IP44 protection and bathroom use for this fitting. Its position must comply with the installation zones and instructions; the manual requires a 30 mA RCD in a room containing a bath or shower. This Class I fitting must be earthed. Depending on the selected bulb and room size, it can also provide general ceiling lighting in a hallway, kitchen or bedroom. For maintenance, the instructions specify cleaning with a dry cloth only, without liquid or abrasive cleaners.Näytä lisää
