Cedric Flush Ceiling Light - 2 light sources - Black Elstead

Name: Cedric Flush Ceiling Light - 2 light sources - Black Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

Cedric is a low-profile Hinkley flush ceiling light in the shape of a drum: a black steel ring forms the body, closed at the bottom by a diffuser of etched opal glass. The manufacturer calls it a contemporary design. It is distributed by Elstead Lighting. Size and installation The light is 30.5 cm in diameter and only 12.2 cm high, so under a low ceiling it leaves almost the full room height free — a figure to compare with the headroom in a hallway or walk-in wardrobe. It weighs 3 kg and is protection class I, which means the ceiling box must provide an earth conductor. What light it gives Under the shade are two E27 sockets, each taking a bulb of up to 40 W; bulbs are not included. The matt opal glass diffuses the light and hides the bulbs, so from below you see an evenly glowing disc rather than individual points of light. The sides of the body are steel and let no light through — the whole output goes downwards through the diffuser. The light can be dimmed if both sockets hold bulbs marked as dimmable and a dimmer is installed. Where it fits The manufacturer intends Cedric for kitchens, hallways and walk-in wardrobes, and in our catalogue it is also assigned to bedrooms and dining rooms. The plain drum without ornament and the contrast of the black body with the white diffuser suit modern interiors. The same series includes a lacquered brass version and a Cedric pendant.Show more
