BAZAR BIZAR

BAZAR BIZAR The Fringe Raffia Rectangular Placemat, Natural, 35×60 cm

Name: BAZAR BIZAR The Fringe Raffia Rectangular Placemat, Natural, 35×60 cm
Brand: BAZAR BIZAR

The BAZAR BIZAR placemat from the series The Fringe Raffia is one rectangle of tightly woven natural raffia, with fringe on the short ends. SKU BAJN013N is a single handmade piece, not a runner for the whole table. The weave runs horizontally, the fibre is a warm straw colour, and the fringe edge is uneven because raffia does not finish like machine cloth.Size at one place settingThe producer states 60 cm in length, 35 cm in width and 1 cm in thickness. That covers one place, not the length of a dining table. A typical dinner plate is about 26–28 cm across, so 35 cm of width leaves a narrow band of weave around the plate, while 60 cm of length leaves room for cutlery beside it. The fringe extends past the dense rectangle. If settings sit close together, measure the top and check that neighbouring fringes will not overlap. Listed weight is 0.16 kg as one figure, without a net and gross split. What is in the boxYou receive one placemat. Plates, glasses, the round coaster and other tableware in the styled photographs are props, not part of this code. There is no non-slip backing. On a smooth top the mat can shift when the plate moves, so it does not replace a rubber-backed mat.Bazar Bizar marks the model heat resistant, but gives no temperature. That mark is not permission to set a roasting tin straight from the oven onto the raffia. The placemat is not washable.Care in a dry roomThe producer limits use to a dry indoor setting. Dust it with a soft cloth or a brush. For an occasional clean, wipe with a lightly damp cloth and let it dry fully before storing. Soaking can weaken the fibres or change the shape. A light steam can lay the fringe flat after folding.Raffia is natural and the weave is handmade, so colour and density can differ from the photograph. The stated country of origin is Indonesia.Table and styleThe fringe, raw fibre edge and warm weave place it in a boho register, apart from any room in the photographs. Use it on the dining table, one rectangle under one setting. It is not an outdoor or bathroom product.Show more
