Alta 1479GA is a cylindrical bollard light, 15 cm in diameter and 85 cm tall, made of hot-dip galvanised steel with no paint. The head consists of five steel louvres under a flat cap, with an opal PMMA diffuser beneath them. Inside sits a built-in Philips Fortimo LED module with an electronic driver, so there is no bulb to screw in.How much light it gives and where it goesThe fitting draws 8.5 W and shines at 3000 K, a warm white, with CRI 80. The module itself produces 1059 lm, but 146 lm leaves the fitting, because the louvres shield the diffuser from above and send the light around the bollard and downwards. That marks a path, terrace edge or driveway; it does not light a whole garden. ULOR 10 % and BUG B0-U2-G1 mean little skyward light and low glare.It dims on phase dimmers of both kinds, trailing edge (TE) or leading edge (LE). The module (L80B20 over 50,000 h) and driver are replaced by a professional service, for which Norlys offers the repair kit ZS1479zx0013.Height, mounting and wiringAt 85 cm the head sits a little higher than a dining table top (75 cm), so the bollard shows above low planting and clearly marks the line of a path or driveway. Compare that height with the plants that will grow next to it. The fitting weighs 9.3 kg, and 10.7 kg in its 20.5 × 20.5 × 91 cm box.The base is bolted down through three ø9 mm holes set 120° apart on a ø65 mm circle. Ground or concreting anchors, the concrete-foundation adapter and mounting adapters are sold separately. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 4 mm², or 2 × 2.5 mm² when looping through, and the gland a round cable up to 12.5 mm, so several bollards along a path share one cable run. Class II needs no protective earth.Durability and where it fitsIP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets, so the bollard stands outdoors without cover, and IK08 means resistance to impacts of up to 5 J. The operating range is −20 to +45 °C. The Alta suits a garden, terrace or driveway as well as a street or the grounds of a hotel or restaurant; the plain cylinder with louvres is a Scandinavian form.Mostra di più
